Mike,

Please add my voice to the long list of disgruntled iWindsurf customers who are upset with how long it is taking your corporate headquarters to fix the sensor/transmitters at TI and Berkeley. Weatherflow must have some high paying corporate customers to move us windsurfers/kiters to the bottom of the totem pole. Please remind headquarters of their roots in the windsurfing community! You and they will be reminded of this poor service when they announce their next rate increase! Thanks, Ron

And please get the 3rd beach sensor working while you're in the area!

Bump. Almost a week and no communication when the TI meter will be fixed. FWIW, the 2G - 4G excuse seems inapplicable, as the meter is transmitting wind direction, just not speed. Mike?

Clearly the Berkeley sensor problem is different from TI. Berkeley stores data and eventually reports - as much as 3 hours late unfortunately. TI never reports.
Repair schedule would definitely be appreciated.
I know Berkeley sailors are missing out due to lack of data. Sunday was almost as windy as Sat at HLS, but almost no one showed up.

So as I understand what is happening here is that the Providers won't be supporting 3G anymore but yet have still been supporting 2G all these years?

In the OS world Microsoft always stops supporting the oldest OS first.

One would think the Providers would phase out 2G before 3G, not 3G first.

Am I missing something here?

On a side note it would be interesting to see how the windsurfing regions rank in iwind subscriptions, such as Gorge, Bay Area, Corpus Christy, Hatteras etc. to see what region should have the most pull (other than the corporate clients of course).

Update from iWindsurf support, “From what I've gathered, it may be a while until the sensor maintenance team can make a formal visit to the sensor. We're in contact with some people to get a visual on the sensor, to see if there is anything obvious or noticeable interfering with it. We do apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.” Evil or Very Mad
