The board Lady also make the comment .
Putting a board in a bag that has wet straps with the plug out
is like putting it in a sauna bath . The water in the straps goes
into the board
I use to take the plugs out all the time till I ruined the plug seal on one
of my boards.
So I do not store my boards in bags in wet places in the Winter,
and I take the plugs out for the non use period.
But I don't take the plugs out unless I a going someplace really hot,
during the season .

Storing your plug in the mast base is the trick you use to not forget
to put them in .

the only reason I use bags at all is to protect them from each other on the
racks or in the interior of the car. Must be nice to have a Van with internal
board racks.

I follow all this advice . Given a option of transport on the roof, with a wet board, straps ... I would not use a a bag. I would remove the vent screw, and tape over the hole with a small hole now venting .
