Agree with Tom.
One hazard has been broken wine glasses in that cove from party-ers throwing from restaurant. Even booties are only partial protection. I stepped on a nailed-through board there in about 2 feet of water. Nail came thru bootie between my toes - very lucky.
We also MUST maintain close and positive relations with Marina staff as this process plays out. |

When someone on Berkeleyside suggested making the parking lot into an RV park for the homeless, here’s what our mayor responded...
“We are considering that and City Council will be voting on June 26th to ask the City Manager to designate a location for supervised RV/vehicle camping with restrooms etc.” _________________ /w\ |

Thinking ahead - would be nice to have handy restroom once His Lords closes. Long walk to Shorebird facility otherwise. At the same time, will be interesting to monitor the new restroom at South Sailing Basin parking lot for ongoing access/cleanliness. |

I just heard that Berkeley made a ruling that the homeless RV's cannot park overnight in the HLS parking lot.
Whether the city does anything about it is a whole nother thing. _________________ Sponsored by Starboard and The Loft |

It would be a good idea to e mail or call the mayors office {510 981 7100}The more calls that they get about this illegal trailer park the better. Calls or emails to the city managers office and city council members would also be a good idea. |

Just remember what a mess California has turned into when you mark your ballot for Gov in November... ‘nuff said. |

I love my state. I was born here. I’ve climbed her rocks, surfed her waves and played in her wind. I wouldn’t live anywhere else. All the good things we enjoy here are the states attractions and the bad will never rise above the good. But. Our good weather and history of open doors is also our burden. There are few blue tarp cities in North Dakota. I don’t really Have a problem with gypsies. I have a problem with meth induced piles of garbage. And the freeloaders who inhabit both ends of the social spectrum. I have no real solution other than bitching. And I wouldn’t vote for a republican if you held a gun to my head. Here’s an interesting article.
