To plane, in the straps, hooked-in, in a breeze sufficient to power-up a 6.0 sail (I'm 172 lbs)--is there an inflatable that measures up? I'm NOT asking for hardboard equivalency, but a WS experience that will get you out and scratch the itch. Thinking of buying one to take on vacay to places w/o rentals. |

i have the RRD 150 freeride version. gets up on plane pretty well (not as effeciently as a hard board)...BUT is gets up an moves. gybing is sort of like turning a battleship.... all in all for what it is ...it is great WS board for taking on vacations....or storing on a boat....closet . I even have RRD's compact rig (7.0m full batten sail...battens fold in half) |
