Looking at a possible post-work, afternoon sesh, on Wednesday Oct 17th for strong W-N/W. Most likely Lavallette (Jacobson Park).

Still a few days out, but looking at Saturday, Oct 27th for potential strong E/NE. Would likely do an early morning session, probably Trixies or Laurel Blvd. Let me know if this is on anyone else’s radar.

Yes I'm watching the storm too. If it's E/NE I'm thinking Trixies, if its N/NE Laurel Ave. I agree its best to try and catch it early before the heavy rain and really crazy wind sets in. Will know better towards Friday on specific plans.

Nice turn out at the Hook yesterday afternoon - good to see so many windsurfers sneaking out of work early!

Saturday's looking like the heavy rains and wind will be in the morning with improving conditions toward mid day. Considering Spy House now too if the wind is more NNE. With the shallow tide and on-shore flow, should get some real fun swells for mini backside rides. We'll see.

What's the difference? Those spots just couple miles from each other.
Is that possible now to launch from tip of peninsula on Trixies?

At Trixies, when it's N/NE you're somewhat shadowed at the launch so I like Laurel better since you have solid wind right off the beach. With E/NE wind, the river mouth at Trixies offers nice flat water for high speed jibing.

The new park at Trixies is complete but most of the shoreline is now protected from erosion with stone and new plants so access was limited - the point was completely protected with stone so no access there. There is a swimming beach on the south side kind of near the tip that would work - I forget if it was possible to carry gear to the swimming beach from the new lot. When I last sailed there in the spring, we launched from the old dirt lot which still has easy access and sailed up to the new beach for breaks.
