The big Mistral is the only one that I would be interested in sailing.
The crucial defining issue for most boards from that era is: do you have the mastbase/mastfoot connector that need to make the board useable? If yes, do you want to sail the board?
Regarding any board going to a landfill I hope the owner has the time to do what I am doing with two 12 ft sailboats. I'm taking off the outer shells (Lexan in both cases) then sawing the styrofoam into pieces small enough to go into my city's recycling. (I'm retired & have the time plus my local recycling center is only 10 minutes away.) I won't criticize anyone who doesn't have the time or an easily accessible recycling center to do that.

I'd keep them around for decoration or wall art for the nostalgia of the era. There was a time when that was the newest, hottest, latest, and greatest.

Here's one of the two boards that I have destined for the landfill.

Mast base issue is definitely cause for concern. If you have the old proprietary bases for Fanatic, Mistral, and HiFLy, there are just waiting to fail in the middle of a lake.
From experience aside from that the bigger issue was modern sail compatibility.
Old sails from the boards vintage had much longer booms and the Center of Effort was further back ( Balance point). Modern sails have Center of Effort much further forward and shorter booms by comparison. This means on the Fanatic and HiFLy you would likely not be able to use the footstraps.
That Mistral XLE: I have used boards from that era with 2008 vintage sails as the two design theories seem to overlap just enough to make them compatible.

Hey JRobb, howzit? If you want your old JP Slalom back, free of course, just say so. I'm in East Bay still, up near SP Dam road. I"m just too old to ride a 84 liter slalom board. Board is perfect condition.

HEY LEE,
Doing good. Sounds like a solid offer. I'll ping you PM If I can swing it. It's a little small for me now.
