Hi Gang,

This satellite imagery from 11 AM today shows why windsurfers and kiters who launch at sites north of Treasure Island love the eddy. Just look at the strong southerly push towards those sites!

But if you don't enjoy eddies you will be happy to know the eddy you see above sees a violent death tomorrow morning as the North Pacific High's winds turn from NNW to NW and rip the eddy apart by mid-morning or earlier.
