I got asked how the two wings compare. Anyone foil both that could give incite on these wings. I also was wondering how the Naish 122 compares weight wise to the Sling Shot boards. My 130 is bullet proof so far. It is over built and on the heavy side. |

Naish 122 weighs around 18.5 lbs with 4 footstraps and hardware.
But Naish foil weighs quite a bit, but is one of the lighter alu takeapart foils, supposedly. |

76 is quite a bit bigger than Naish's 65 and 1220cm squared. |

The Naish foil profile is quite different, I don't think it will have the speed range of the Slingshot. The rest of the execution is far superior however and the ones I've seen in use are holding up much better. |

The 2019 foil is advertised to be 50% lighter than our 2018.

I don't believe in marketing claims.
For 20 years, they've been saying sails are faster, more range, more durable, feel lighter, and easier to rig. BS
Check WS UK for actual foil weights.
So you make a lighter foil. The mast, fusalage, mounting hardware are still the same.
And if weight were a real concern, go all carbon or lose some weight. |

I'd believe that the wing is 50% lighter but the overall package wasn't that much different when I had both in my hands. Both were significantly lighter feeling than Slingshot however; that fuselage design is anything but mass efficient.
I'm unsure the mass matters a lot while riding but carrying down is much easier with a light setup. Also a foil that floats has some significant advantages. |

It appears the full carbon one piece $3000 foils sink when not attached to at least the one foot tail section of a course racing sized board. |

Does anyone have an idea of the speed potential of Thrust WS 1 vs I 76?
Hard to compare, unless equal size and skill pilots are used with identical rigs of equal tuning.
Feel alone means nothing. |

I don't think you buy those looking for speed, but just guess I'd say the 76 will be faster based on foil profile.
The Horue floats, we tested it. |
