In case you live and sail in a cave, be aware that Windance's last swap of the season is July 7. Looks like great weather ... 60s and light breezes.
CGW2 has one on Sept 28. |

Many do live and sail in a cave since the Luhr Jensen swap meet Saturday had few visitors. |

I have yet to find anyone who knew about it. No email, not on their website, nothing about it here. I first heard about Saturday's swap meet today (Sunday) about noon.
But ... Sept 28th for the next one? Sounds a lot like that one back in "midwinter" ... March ... which, even though well-publicized, attracted maybe 6 people ... probably mostly from one cave.
Plus me. Silly me. Learned my lesson ... I hope. Or is late Sept the key to selling fringe and winter steamers/drysuits? I sold three boards and many accessories today, but almost no one even looked at the fall and winter fullsuits and drysuits I had hanging in their face. Dudes ... ask yer Mom or wife ... ya get the best deals off-season. |

It had few visitors because it was a secret swap meet. It was not on the
main page information of the CGWIWA, nor was it on the swap page, but it
was on the CGWIWA calendar. I was tempted by a killer deal on a Naish
foil board, but alas, did not have the disposable funds at the time.
Coffee and donuts (and juice) were a very nice touch by Northwave.
I thought the final Swap of the year at Windance was very well attended, I
even found a boom I had to have.
Still looking forward to the CGWIWA end of the season swap at Luhr Jensen.
Probably won't be well attended, even though advertised, but by then there
really are deals, if you can find something you want.

p.s. my Drysuit is totally warn out (and I'll be looking for one in October),
but I just don't think (Isobars) Mike and I have the same body type ;*)

Excerpt from the swap meet flyer for my barely used and sparkling clean 2018 O'Neill Psycho Freak 4/3 Thermobutter 3 wetsuit include this:
The warmest suit Big Winds carries.
Google their raves and details.
Google details on O’Neill’s site
O’Neill’s [asinine] size chart says this XXL suit is for men [b]6’-6’2”, 210-230#, 44-46 chest, 36-38 waist, 30-31 inseam.
However, I like my drysuits and steamers LOOSE (but my L Kokatat still wouldn't fit you). |

How do they expect ANY attendance without ANY publicity? I've searched their websites many times por nada ... or, worse yet, por incorrect and sometimes conflicting (between their event calendar and their specific swap meet listing) dates.
Thanks for the dates. However, I've driven 300 miles too many times to find unannounced cancellations/CGW2 no-shows to be fooled so easily next time. That's a real shame, considering how hard they work at them and the good they do with the proceeds. I'll mark your data on my calendar with a well-sharpened #10 (i.e., stainless steel) pencil.
Hmmmm ... check one last time before hitting SUBMIT ... Nope, no mention of any 2019 CGW2 swap meets before Sep 28, and even that is very hard to find. |

Uhhhh.... couldn't be more incorrect. The CGW2 Swap on Saturday was very well attended with both buyers and sellers. In fact, it may have been The CGW2's best swap of the season from a gear sales standpoint.

If you click on the events button on the CGW2 website each swap meet is scheduled on the calendar. |
