Turkey wants land to return refugees, that's what this is all about..

Sure, mat-ty, this has nothing to do with the Kurds and their aspirations.

In any case, one can make the argument that this conflict is none of our business even if it means that Russia is gaining influence in the region. That does not justify betraying our allies with an unprepared (and without urgent cause other than a Sunday afternoon phone call and Trump towers in Istanbul) withdrawal of our soldiers.

If we go back over time, there has been no question that Syria has been under Soviet influence for a long time. Something that traditional Republicans or committed anti-communist hawks have been troubled about forever, especially given their easier access to the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

Suddenly out of the blue, Donald Trump decides to move out of the way and let the Russians, and heaven forbid, Iranians move in. In concert with it all, Trump strokes and unleashes Erdogan of Turkey to rip into the Syrian Kurds, and probably into Iraqi Kurds too over time.

Trump loves living with dictators and despots, and unbelievably, he seems to feed on giving them the power, room and energy to prevail. Something unheard of in previous Republican and conservative circles not too many years ago.

House votes 354-60 to condemn Trump action on Syria.

The most incompetent asshole to ever walk into the oval office.

It's a mess, no question, and always will be.

It's a lot easier to criticize than it is to lead. Lot's of folks with big opinions across the spectrum should try being a Commander and Chief for a day. It's a lot different when you have to write the letters and go to the funerals..

some wonder why trump loves dictators, well trump is looking for his deals he can get after he is of office. The dictators have the power to grant trump rewards for his nefarious sticking it to Americans to support these oligarchs. He already backed off what is it billions in fines for the russians. weakened Nato. You think they will not reward him handsomely. again without his taxes we have no idea how broke he is.

Hey Dictator buddy....."I'll call ya later" like really, "Don't be a tough guy".

Now, were forced to do airstrikes to prevent bad actors(ISIS) from getting to our munitions storage...
