see how these guys are paying off each other to have their witch hunts. Should rudy be disbarred for such irresponsible behaviour if this is proved wrong, or will the right wing fake newsers love him more for his hate.

Ukrainian prosecutor manufactured Biden conspiracy to 'curry favor with Trump and Giuliani'

Quote:
The Ukraine story that Rudy Giuliani has been pushing through the pages of The New York TImes and that Trump and his supporters have been trying to jump-start into a serious scandal is generating some genuine investigation over in Ukraine. But the results of that action aren’t exactly what Giuliani was shooting for, as a Ukrainian lawmaker has accused the top prosecutor at the heart of the story’s anti-Biden claims of simply “manufacturing a conspiracy.”

According to Bloomberg, all the noise Giuliani has been making has drawn attention to the story from Ukrainian officials. But what those officials have found is what was already known before the Times starting acting as a mouthpiece for Giuliani’s latest wild claims: There is no Biden scandal. But there certainly is a Giuliani scandal.

In 2016, then-Vice President Joe Biden went to Ukraine and spoke out against corruption, including calling for the resignation of a particularly notorious prosecutor. According to Giuliani, the reason Biden made this trip was to protect his son Hunter, who was on the board of holding company Burisma, owned by wealthy Ukrainian Mykola Zlochevsky. In the Rudy version, Biden wanted the prosecutor out because he was threatening Zlochevsky, and Zlochevsky was in turn threatening Hunter Biden’s fat board member salary. In reality, the prosecutor was not going after either Zlochevsky or Burisma. In fact, it was the prosecutor’s failure to cooperate with a U.K. case against Zlochevsky that caused Biden to demand his resignation. In other words, Giuliani isn’t just wrong; he has the story completely backwards.

say it aint so.

just announced sec of education was using 5 different private email accounts to do government business. and there are missing emails.

not to mention the whitehouse has been using a trump corp server to send government emails by his kids.

Now when Hillary did it it was legal. But the law was then changed by the right wing controlled congress and it is illegal.

So there was a witchhunt on Hillary when it was legal, as both of her predecessors, a general Powel and Condi both used personal emails for government business.

Lets see if the right wing partisan hating senate takes up hearings for it.

Quote:
QUITMAN, Ga. — Nancy Dennard was in a festive holiday mood when police arrived at her front door in the early morning of Dec. 21, 2010.

Her son’s birthday, on Christmas Eve, was three days away, and he was supposed to arrive in town the next day.

Dennard, a county school board member who had just turned 50 and recently helped elect a slate of new candidates, slept in that morning and was still in bed when her husband left for work a little after 7 a.m. She thought it odd when he returned a few minutes later to wake her. “There’s some people here that want to see you,” he told her. “They’re law enforcement.”

Dennard was taken away in handcuffs, placed in a squad car and spirited into the police station.

The early-morning arrest began a multiyear nightmare for the mother of two. The state government, operating under the authority of a newly appointed secretary of state named Brian Kemp, arrested Dennard and 11 of her political allies and charged them with 120 separate felonies.

To Dennard and her allies, who became known as the Quitman 10+2, the reasons for their arrests were simple. They were black candidates who won an election in the Deep South, upsetting a white-dominated power structure.

“They thought they could make an example out of me, and that would kill the spirit of this movement,” said Dennard, who has a master’s degree in speech pathology, as well as an educational doctorate. “I knew we had done nothing wrong.”

Yet the mug shots taken at the jail that first day of African-Americans wearing orange jumpsuits would be an enduring image. The photos were plastered across newspaper front pages, broadcast repeatedly on local TV news and finally displayed on the screens of Fox News viewers as evidence of voter fraud.

The voter-fraud arrest story on the front page of the Quitman Free Press in 2010.
The voter-fraud arrest story on the front page of the Quitman Free Press in 2010.
That perceived threat of organized voter fraud has been used for the past decade by Republicans to enact a series of measures in many states that have made it harder to vote, especially for poor and nonwhite voters. Kemp, in Georgia, has been one of the most aggressive politicians involved in purging voters from the rolls. Kemp and his aides often spoke of how they were “fighting to protect the integrity of our elections.”

Quitman became a poster-child case among conservatives that voter fraud was a real and serious threat. “So many absentee ballots flooded in, it set off suspicions of possible hanky-panky,” Fox News anchor Eric Shawn crowed in a 2012 segment in which he described what had happened in Quitman.

comey, no classified info released and Inspector General seems to have gone off the deep end. on the trump part.

But before when Commey released info on Hillary to the world right wingers loved it.

But again no charges, and what he released shows the president lied again and was involved in a cover-up.

NOT once charge because they do not want a court case where the president would have to testify under oath and go to jail for lies.

“Investigation of Clinton emails ends, finding no 'deliberate mishandling'”, reports the Guardian. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, but I am shaking my head.

The investigation, launched more than three years ago, did find violations by 38 people, some of whom may face disciplinary action.

The investigation covered 33,000 emails that Clinton turned over for review after her use of the private email account became public. The department said it found a total of 588 violations involving information then or now deemed to be classified but could not assign fault in 497 cases.

For current and former officials, culpability means the violations will be noted in their files and will be considered when they apply for or go to renew security clearances. For current officials, there could also be some kind of disciplinary action. But it was not immediately clear what that would be.

The report concluded “that the use of a private email system to conduct official business added an increased degree of risk of compromise as a private system lacks the network monitoring and intrusion detection capabilities of state department networks”.

What that means is: keeping the private server was legal but unwise. Clinton was not to blame for what others sent her. Out of about 600 mails containing classified information, the senders of 91 mails were found culpable, meaning that 38 people will get, as they say, a mark on their permanent record.

And so the screen descends.

Ah, those were innocent times. When people would get upset by a Secretary of State getting mismarked classified emails. Before we had a White House broadcasting classified photos on Twitter, an administration and a governing party willingly larded with foreign agents, and a political class who whose idea of keeping a secret is charging a price to pass it along. The people who signed off on this report probably feel the way meter maids feel in Syrian Kurdistan right now.

and the right wing are crying when the dems have started investigations over far more serious issues that the FBI will not invetigate, about tump. and the right wing are saying treason is not as serious.

again the right wing went after Jimmy Carters tiny self built peanut farm when Carter was president.

http://www.msnbc.com/transcripts/rachel-maddow-show/2016-11-16

MADDOW: Peanutgate, investigate the Carter family`s peanut business.
Scandal. This was 1979.

Quote:
Peanutgate had a perfect name. In the end, though, substantively, it did
not exactly distinguish itself as a scandal.

This was six months later.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Good evening. Jimmy Carter was cleared today of any
wrongdoing in the handling of funds at his peanut warehouse during his
campaign for the presidency.

PAUL CURRAN, SPECIAL COUNSEL: I believe it`s appropriate to state right
here that there is no evidence to establish that President Jimmy Carter
committed any crimes. No indictment can or should be brought against
anyone. None will be filed.

The answer is that no evidence whatsoever was discovered that any moneys
were diverted from the warehouse into the campaign. Every nickel and every
peanut have been traced into and out of the warehouse and no funds were
unlawfully diverted –

(END VIDEO CLIP)

MADDOW: Every nickel and every peanut. They traced every single goober.

Republicans in 1979 spent six months and they hired a special prosecutor.
They went out of their way to make sure it was a Republican special
prosecutor who they hired at the Department of Justice to just tear
everything apart, go up and down through every peanut shell to try to find
something, anything scandalous in Jimmy Carter`s family peanut farm.

It turned out, as you saw there, that it was nothing. Nothing there.

When John F. Kennedy had been elected to the presidency in 1960, he was
from one of the richest families in the country. His father was one of the
single wealthiest individuals in the entire United States. Now, JFK
himself never personally inherited his father`s fortune, but he was really
rich. And when he was elected he did put all his own assets into a blind
trust. So somebody else controlled all of his money, he had no idea what
his assets were. JFK`s considerable wealth was walled off for the
presidency in that way.
