The thing is removing the passenger seat in a car made after
06 is almost all of them have seat sensors and in some cases
air bags in the seats . If the car detects they are not there they may be
very upset throwing all kinds error messages or even disabling
the car.
The seat sensor fails so much in BMW's that there is an aftermarket
bypass for the passenger seat.
There are quite a few bypasses for other brands that allow
aftermarket race seats.
I have the front seat out in the Integra I can get multiple sails
and at least one board in that space, so I know that trick.

No need to comment if your not interested.

In the integra now I have 5 sails 4 masts two booms and a board
and this load is low enough so I can still see out all the windows.
but with wetsuits and other accessories its pretty packed out.
I can still put two or three boards on the roof to.

Some E car at Berk carries 2 boards, 4 sails and 2 masts, maybe a Yaris or some subcompact.
