Day use is open to all but boat and car limits are still being enforced. It was crazy packed yesterday with all the beach area and tables occupied by large groups. On the water wasn't bad with just a handful out at any time. Getting in/out was a little tricky but doable.
Foiling and winging are popular now and far outnumber windsurfers on most days.

Lake is at 49 percent.
Is that deep enough for foiling?
Any problem with weeds this time of year?
Thank you,
E

Yes, still deep enough for foiling as long you don't go too far downwind. Lopez doesn't have weed issues, it's more about the reeds and small brush in the shallow areas downwind. I have some scratches and a couple of small dings from riding swell too far downwind, but that's a risk I take because it's so fun. Once in awhile you may see a small floating clump of stuff, but I blow thru it without issue almost all of the time. The launch zone is fairly flat bottom so use caution as you come in and be ready to stop about 15-25 feet from shore. Foilers (wing and WS) almost always outnumber Windsurfers now, especially when the coast has no wind.
At 190lbs and running a SS Infinity 76, my sail sizes are mostly 4.7, 4.2 (a lot lately) and rare use of a 5.3. Some days I could be on a 3.7 so plan accordingly.

Weed tops starting to stick up down wind. Unless you can stay up wind on a foil, it is an issue. While it is less of an issue on a fin the low water has the park ranger restricting the lanuch and landing are to two red markers 20 yards apart. You Need enough skills to make it back to that 20 yard section..
