Thx to all the sellers, buyers, and most of all volunteers who came out to yesterday's CGW2.org's Summer Swap Meet at The Hood River Waterfront! Great turnout and big success!

That was one big swap meet, indeed, for both buyers and sellers! I came with two double armfuls of wetsuits and left with one handful of wetsuits and a pocket full of cash. Buyers left with some great deals on a wide variety of fresh, clean, sometimes never-worn neoprene. I also saw a lot of wind-and-water toys being carried away by buyers.

The biggest head-shaker I saw at this (and every Gorge) swap meet is the large number of absolutely top-of-the-line, often pristine, high-performance Gorge (and any windy lake) windsurfing boards going unsold even at half the cost of my solo breakfast after the meet. Before I even finished setting up my wetsuit display, I snagged a CGW2 board for a friend based on the performance criteria she gave me. I believe from personal experience (I've owned four of these very boards in various sizes) and from magazine reviews that this board is highly likely to meet or exceed her needs, and from three feet away it looks brand spanking new. It might even replace all four of her present random mix of boards. Even adding an airline-quality bag and an excellent fin, the total cost (including excellent footstraps) was STILL less than the cost of my breakfast.

If it doesn't suit her, that's OK. I know that the next swap meet will offer many comparable choices for her.
