I just heard from a friend in vancouver that the news is reporting a female body was found near mosier that was possibly windsurfing/kiting!
Anyone know the deal here?

Hey all, I actually picked the headline up from the hood river news that the sailor was Janet Nelson. Anyone that has sailed at Mosier or been around for awhile knows Janet and her husband Glenn. Truly nice people. My thoughts and prayers go out to Glenn during this time.

Godspeed,
Ron

That is really sad to hear. The paper said she was found floating face down near her board, I wonder if she somehow got knocked out. We'll just have to wait and see. What a horrible thing to have happen. I really feel for her husband. My condolences to her family.

Word at the Event Site from those who spoke to her friends, is that it involved an undiagnosed medical condition.

Anybody know about the accident on Tuesday in Stevenson that involved a Kiteboarder that had to be shipped by ambulance to Vancouver?

Even if you don't know her...........send a blessing in the wind. I am sure the wind gods will deliver it.

Always a sad day when a fellow wind lover is taken by the wind and water.

She died doing what she loved.

My sincere condolences to those who knew Janet Nelson.

The guy at Stevenson was a windsurfer sailing out of Bob's Beach. He was just sitting there on the beach and passed out. When the EMT's showed up a few minutes later the guy had no pulse. The EMT's were able to bring him back before they took the guy off in an ambulance. Speculations were that the guy had a heart-attack.

I don't know who it was. It looked like he is in his late 40's or 50's
