Lost Crazy Fly 145x48 Jacksonville Beach, FL 10/27/07

I lost my favorite board, a 2007 Crazy Fly 145x48, out past the pier in Jacksonville Beach, FL on the evening of Saturday 10/27/2007. The winds were NNE and I the waves were nice. I should not have been out that far alone that late in the day.... I got a nice boost without the board and proceeded to drop the kite... By the time I got the kite back up it was getting dark and I could not see the board. I tried to body drag around for a bit but did not see it... I finally made it back in and borrowed a surf board from one of the two guys out on the south side of the pier... It was too late at that point as it was almost dark...

Of course I did not write my name on it. But I will give some cash to anyone who finds it. The worst part is that the wind blew for the next four days from the NE at times over 40mph. This created some of the worst beach erosion we have seen here in years. It also made for a wicked North to South flow which means the board could be way down the coast of FL.

I went back Sunday morning to scour the beach for a few hours but ended up getting kicked off by the ocean as the tide came up to the dunes washing the beach away completely...
