Folsom Lake is waaayy low this year which will mean it has to get very windy +20 for the surface of the lake to get wind. I would be interested to hear from anyone that has sailed Folsom/kited Folsom this fall or winter. The north wind was blowing plenty for kiteys on Saturday, but not a one out.

I sailed Folsom in October on a SW & again in November on a NW. The lake is low & if you don't mind rigging in mud and walking through mud you can sail there. Lake level doesn't affect the NW or SW winds because there are no hills from those directions. S & SE is a problem because the south & east side of the lake does have high hills.
