Hi Ya'll,
I moved out to Southern Idaho from Portland, OR and looking for wind and locations to sail. Im about 40 minutes out of Twin Falls and looking for the sailing community members around here to hook up with. Any of you out there?

You might investigate american falls reservoir. I've heard there is windsurfing done there.

North of Twinfalls towards Ketchum is Magic Res. Ten or twelve sailors when it blows. check out magicwindsurfers.com for a few $ they have a wind line you can call, well worth the money. Today it's 17 gusting 23 from S-SW. west is best. water is cold now

Several years ago they used to advertise Lake Walcott as a place to windsurf. Never been there myself.

I tried Lake Walcott once. It was a pretty good drive up from SLC and my girl friend got eaten up by a fresh hatch of mosquitoes; but don't let that stop you. The wind does blow a lot up there. A nice park and the water level never changes. Also, take your whitewater kayak just in case you get tired of sailing or happen to catch a windless day. There is some great whitewater to play in just below the dam.
