|
hey all - i am a new Crissy sailor and am looking for input on what to rig for average conditions over there (22mph gusting to 27mph, seem to be common). I usually sail Berkeley but notice the same wind speeds can feel much stonger at Crissy. i am assuming this must be due to Crissy gusts, tidal current, swell and chop. wondering what my ideal sail size should be. i have rigged a 5.7 only to be overpowered in gusts and a 5.0 only to be underpowered in the lulls. i am 195lbs and ride a 101 starboard carve. i am thinking a 5.3 or 5.4 might do the trick. i look forward to your feedback and to hear what you rig. thanks. |
