the kiter is ruben lenten from holland. i am a photographer by trade. you can check out more of my work at www.ionimagery.com

close calls were common in the early days. i've had a few, but the new kites are so much safer.

the term kitemare really is falling out of the vocabulary. this new generation of kites is making it safer, faster and more fun to learn than ever.

All I heard all spring from kiteboarders was "I lost my board, please help me find it". If kiteboarding has truly reached the point of "safer, faster, and more FUN" then why are they losing their boards all the time? Why do I constantly see abandoned kites along da river?

There are people who cut corners when they start and don't take the time to learn to body drag up wind properly. The inflatable "go-joe" (http://www.live2kite.com/product_info.php?products_id=382&osCsid=eafb1ce80394 )is great for keeping your board close.
