O.K., I'm getting more convinced. I'd still like to see the next couple of frames, to see just how many hundreds of tons of water drive this guy to the bottom and hold him there for the rest of his life. Any word on whether the guy survived?

Very interesting Gregor. Towed in at an angle, so that explains how the guy got into the wave and eliminates the requirement for the drop in and transition. Really, no way in the world to classically paddle into this kind of wave. Still though, you've got to have some real balls to ride a wave through that kind of incredible raw power, as a wipeout could literally be a "killer" one.
