I have an old wetsuit I am happy to donate to make "Ronnie" the surf-rage doll.

Also, this may inspire some of our in house-Leo musician windsurfers to write a song:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that nealpar shoulder hopped Lucoff, and then literally pinched him off into the peak directly towards the rock. If he then responded to that kind of irresponsible action by making some minimal contact on the wave trying to get out of that situation, is that really "surf rage"? Reasonable surf etiquette should have prevailed, and the offending shoulder hopper should have given way and immediately exited the wave.

We really can't let snakes that want to improperly interfere and then play the victim card to take over our beaches. That would absolutely ruin everything.

Man, after watching that Omar and the Wavespies [a high school garage band +30 years]video, even a Joe Mellow like me would go "Bakersfield Chimp" on that lead singer!!! Maybe everybody's watching too much You Tube "reality" video. Over and out, Bull

Yeah, that "surf-rage" song has quite the "catchy" tune. Once you hear it, you can't get it out of your head. EVER! Twisted Evil

Swchandler, consider yourself corrected, as the story above is a total fabrication. However, I'm (and I believe everyone else too is) really not interested in rehashing here. Fact is that wave etiquette at Leo is in the eye of the beholder...i.e. changes depending upon who is on a wave with whom. There are knuckleheads that always wait on the inside and despite seeing you on the wave, they proceed to take the wave anyway. I rarely if ever get a wave to myself, despite consistently being in priority position. Unless you sail in the waves regularly, you have no idea what goes down out there.

There are south-swells forecasted in the next 10 days or so. We can be the next youtube video, or we can try to get along. May all be guided by their own conscience.
