What a great idea! He could live in Washington, sucking off the system by buying everything in Oregon (to avoid paying taxes), then play in Oregon (sucking off the system by not paying taxes).

Maybe you don't know that our taxes are what pay for our civilized society. Taxes aren't a bad thing. State taxes don't pay for illegal wars.

So here's my advice: Open your eyes, expand your mind, enjoy a drive to your favorite windsurfing site on one of the state highways that our taxes pay for, and pat yourself on the back for being happy to be a part of something so great.

Nobody's stopping you from donating more money to the government. They accept cash, checks, and VISA from anyone. What a great country! Paying the minimum taxes required is not "sucking"; it's encouraged by the government. (BTW, WA residents must pay WA state taxes on purchases in OR, and it's enforced by WA law on many significant purchases.)
