Has anyone else heard that the Marriott is trying to kick them out so they can place another towel hut? I was just down there and I was upset that they charged my wife for a private lesson when she signed up for a group. Still they have a great selection of gear and a fantastic spot to chill out between sessions. I think some action is in order. thoughts?

I was contacted today by manager of Vela Aruba who noticed a discrepancy in private lesson vs group lesson and offered me the difference in a discount. Now that is customer service. Glad to hear they are working it out with Marriott, Windsurfers have a voice and looks like it can still be heard!

They are sorting it out with the Marriot. I have some details on my blog.

As of the end of July, the Marriott was going to take over the right side (as you look up from the shoreline) of the Vela building and the Vela folks were looking to expand/build-out the left side to accommodate their existing gear.....
