The sensor reported mid-20s from about 4:30 to 5:00 yesterday but it didn't feel that strong to me. I had arrived earlier when the wind was marginal and had rigged my 5.8 for light wind and was never overpowered enough to tighten the sail. Presumably it was one of those days that MikeG talks about where the reported wind doesn't reach the water. It looked to me as though some folks who arrived later were suckered into rigging too small. Anyone care to comment? |

I was planning to go to Leo yesterday, but since it was reasonably windy at C Street, I sailed there instead. I rigged a 5.6, but I was on the light side. Also, there was a fairly decent sized south swell, so I guessing it must have been quite good at Leo. Was yesterday one of those days whether the wind was more outside than inside, or was it generally the same in both areas? |

My 6.3 worked well. Maybe a tad overpowered during the 4:30 spike but for the most part it was perfect. |

Yesterday was a typical late summer day. I was fully powered on my 5.8 on the outside and schlogging on the inside. There were a few holes on the outside as well, but still well worth the drive. |

Ok, today the sensor did not read any higher than yesterday and I was overpowered on the 5.8. I guess the wind was hitting the water. |

I hit C Street again, but it was much windier than yesterday. I sailed the 5.6 again, but I didn't have to nurse it. Also, while the waves were a bit smaller, they were much better shaped for longer rides.
Boy, it's good to get some great sailing in after a pretty sketchy Summer for the last few months. |

Glad to see the Southland got some wind. With all the complaints that I was seeing in the forum, I was feeling sorry for you guys. |
