I've sailed out of there a bunch...it's great. There is no public access from the Chinook site, but you can drive out the point on the other side of the Herman Creek inlet. Just drive past the Bear Mt pellet mill, out and down the little fire road. You'll want a vehicle with some off road ability (decent clearance and not too big) to get down the last part of the spit. It's a gravel road, but hasn't been maintained in years or decades. |

Have you tried the Wyeth Rd exit? That point looks inviting & right by 84 for shorter commute. |
