I am planning a trip to Cabrillo Beach. I have heard that this park is not in a good neighborhood, and there could be safety/security issues.

Is this just a rumor? Do windsurfers who sail there have any concerns about the safety of their cars while they are on the water?

If so, are there any precautions that you take to minimize your concerns?

Thanks,

Seth

The best thing to do is bring some joints, crack bindles and syringes (clean or dirty, doesn't matter) and place them under your windshield wipers before you launch. The people from the "bad neighborhood" will take the drugs and leave your wallet, even if you leave it on the seat of the car.

Have a great session!

PS: some old-timers also get on the hood of their car and cap off a few shots before launching. Suggested rant: "Any of youse guys touch my car you're gonna get a piece a 'dis!"

PPS: leave the gun on the seat too.

You're gonna get bitch-slapped homey. You'll definitely have to get inked before you sail there.

You bedda lower your ride, put on some shades and bling, and get some 20" chrome spinning wheels put on your chevy.

If someone yells "Starboard", that should be considered an assault on your manhood, and you gotta beat that bitch to the ground. If a 300 pound dude offers to carry your gear up for you, you'd better get lubed cause he just broke out of mens central jail.

Otherwise you're gonna love it there.

As you can guess by the responses, it is safe. It is a family beach. People leave gear laying around with no problem. I always lock mine up though.

When you say you're planning a trip I hope you're coming from somewhere like Torrance and not from, say, Chicago......Cabrillo ain't Maui (as opposed to Leo up north, aka Cold Water Kanaha)
