I'm going to Hood River for a first time and looking for place to stay, I don't want to spend 70+ bucks a day for lodging. Is my only option a tent? I don't mind that however would be nice to get a hot shower after session for a moderate price. Are there places like it that don't advertise over internet?
Or where is the best place to set up my tent? Thanks for Info. |

I sleep in my SUV, and the Radiation from Hanford keeps me clean. I like the South side of Viento State Park. Camp site B8 backs to a creek, and you do not hear the train. The showers are very clean, and hot.

I've seen quite a few sailors just sleeping on the ground, which works pretty well because there are seldom any bugs or rain. Their vehicle is nearby if a rare shower shows up. By far the most common and convenient (because the wind moves almost every day) lodging is a van or SUV; I'd hate to be tied to a motel if the wind is 70 miles or more to the east or west.
