My wife & I can afford an occasional trip, but last January we booked a house for 4 days (expensive but it was our 25th anniversary), first day was pretty cool then it snowed HARD for 2 days and blew on the third, ended up spending around $1200. for one day of decent skiing. This has happened to us a few times, makes it hard to stay stoked. Above advice to wait for good snow, sun and no wind SOUNDS good, but just not practical for most people, and besides, good luck finding a room anywhere in Mammoth on short notice with good snow. Motel 6 is booked months in advance, as are all cheap accomodations.
It's just not worth the ri$k. Mountain High is fun for 1/2 a day, take the money you save and buy sails! _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie

What is the matter with everybody..
If you want $$$= WORK!!! |
See I love this forum for procrastinating because of the work ethic windsurfers have. We know the value of work (windsurfing is not a poor man's sport, to whoever said that ). Thus, whenever I get on this forum, there's always I should get back to work. And I thank you for that.
Now, off to my essay. |
