To those who knew and loved Christina Bockius from Hood River, OR.
Christina Bockius died Dec. 12, 2008, at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland from injuries sustained in a kiteboarding accident near La Ventana, Mexico. She was 43 years old.
A deeply sad loss for our community.

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, Dec. 18, at 3:30 p.m. at the Columbia Gorge Hotel.
There have been two memorial funds created in Christina's name

It's worth reading some of the stuff on Christina.......it seems she was a terrific person. What a shame.

Reading her story she brought so much to so many and left having made the world around her a better place. I hope to live up to her example.

That's a terrible loss, but a touching outcry of support from her community. Sounds like she made the most of every day she had, which is all any of us can strive for.
