Due to the flood of federal stimulus money, the Doyle Drive (the freeway offramp to the Golden Gate Bridge) replacement project will begin construction a year ahead of schedule starting September 2009. I have to imagine that vehicular access through the Presidio to Crissy Field will be seriously affected during construction. Get ready for some serious headaches. |

If it is anything like the fiasco at Coyote Point I am sure it will be an amazing nightmare.
Caltrans favorite procedure is to block Airport Blvd at Anza with trucks and then close a lane around Broadway, all in rush hour.
Then the greatest plan was building a pedestrian bridge terminating on the other side of the street from Rector Audi. They should just leave body bags on the corner as you'd have to suicidal to attempt to cross. Drivers hardly ever stop and thought of looking would be asking too much.
Lets see what they do to Doyle!
Please tell me it's not Caltran in charge? |
