I am looking for a recent vintage good condition Mistral Syncro in the 103 ish

We all have different opinions, but for me, the original 05 Syncro 104 (as in above post - still on offer brand new) is the best of the line. As is often the case, in trying to improve things year on year, they can lose more than they gain.
I still use mine (with a 6.0) as the mood takes, but with a slightly smaller flex tip fin for freer gybing and feel in swelly/surfy.
A criticism is that it has a SLIGHT tendency to be slow to get up and plane, but it's great appeal (to me) is the feeling of smoothness and smile on face, when it's working properly within its limits.
Some big jumpers used to snap them, but it wasn't really built for that, and if used sensibly they seem to last. |
