Thanks for all the feed back! D0uglass...love the graphic. The board is on its way. It should be fine for me. I won't be going out in 20 knots anytime soon. Once I catch the bug (I kinda feel like I already have...ha). I will look into shorter boards/rigs for higher winds. So cool! |

Great! Let us know how it works out for you. Did you get the 6.0 rig with it? |

If there is no wind, I do SUP on Fanatic Viper 190L board (I'm about 155lbs).
Works great for me, no problem to keep balance even if a boat passes nearby. The same Viper board can go really fast in plaining conditions.
I admit that Viper is not the ideal board for a first windsurfing try, 50L bigger would be better. However after 2-4 hours of instructor-led training one wouldn't really need a huge beginner board. |

Anyone have experience windsurfing in light wind 10-15 knots on a Naish Nalu 11'6". I've been surfing a lot this summer and am interested in an SUP, but particularly one that can be adapted for windsurfing. 90% of my surfing is in Santa Cruz, would only use the SUP on small wave days since if there is a good swell I'm surfing. |
