2. The history Colorado's fiscal problems is rooted in poor choices in dealing with benefit packages and pension plans for state employees. Both parties are complicit in this.
3. As far as Democrats vs Republicans in the success of fiscal responsiblilty, I don't see much difference. Democratic Presidents, by and large, have been more successful in reducing net debt, reducing size of government and reducing unemployment.
4. If we continue to blame current administrations for failings of past administrations, nothing will be accomplished.
I would be very interested in what constitutes a successful state? "Vermin Free"? |
1. That's not only expressly in line with the Constitution, but is also simple arithmetic. How could the feds give each state more than it took from each state?
2. Yup -- part of the whole unearned entitlement paradigm, a major plank of the Democrat Party.
3. The present administration is sure turning THAT idea on its ear, by a factor of something like 100%.
4. Greater debt increase in 20 months than Bush achieved in 8 years. $5T since Pelosi took over. No end in sight.

It is interesting to note that statistically the states which receive MORE than they contribute are more likely to have a lower relative deficit.
The constitution skews power to small rural states due to the makeup of the Senate. This was designed to protect small states but also allows abuse (Stevens - Alaska Dashle -South Dakota for example).
These states are conservative. Easy to say the federal government is spending too much when you are getting more than your share of the pie. Real spending reform is going to involve cutting this pork. |

And a week later we're STILL waiting. Sorry, KC, but the racist card is of no value if it's blank. |

Two and a half weeks later Mr. Fick still hasn't answered this question.

I don't think "we're" waiting for further input from keycocker on Limbaugh, as he has already supported his point quite well. History doesn't lie. Limbaugh hit the wall with the NFL folks because he blew it. If one makes untoward comments, as Limbaugh is so well known to do, one has to live with the consequences.
isobars continued dance around the truth only shows how patently dishonest he is. As closed minded and bent as he is, he will never admit defeat and face the truth when cornered. |

So much criticism from one who lives off entitlement programs.

We've covered this old timer. On NFL gametime a few years ago Limberger said "Donavon McNabb would be just another QB if he was white" he was fired that week. Does that suffice?
BTW DMcNabb took an eagle team to the NFC championship game 5 times, only with TO, did he have a receiver with talent during those years. He is(was) an incredible talent and Limberger just blasted him. Isiah Thomas once said Larry Bird would be just another hooper if he were white, this coming after he just won three MVP's. ha! |
