maybe it's unrelistic but on a sw or wsw wind usually best to go to Rio. there it will be at it's best and takes a wsw or sw perfectly.

The sandbar is abeam the marker post next to the runways and the restaurant bridge just downwind of the Embassy launch. You'd have to go way-way-way upwind to hit it from Coyote. Shouldn't be an issue unless it's totally SW-SSW.

Quite a few of us sail up there on a regular basis. It's only 2 tacks upwind of the Coyote launch on a NW. The wind is usually stronger there than downwind of the Coyote marker.
