Anyone sail SI yesterday? Check out the graph for mile marker 14! Iam 200lbs and usually have one of the biggest sails on the water, but was completely OP'd on my 4.2 and 85 liter FSW board(my smallest kit). Windiest afternoon at SI I can remember in last 10 years. More days like
that and I will be $2000 poorer. Smile

Was that you (and a buddy) I saw at the Sign, on the webcam? Insane. I'm 160 lbs. and my smallest sail is a 4.6. Most years, this is okay for afternoon sailing. Now I'm checking out a 4.2 for 30+ gusts. Delta Windsurf must be selling out on small stuff.

Unless you saw a guy with a 4.2 North Ice completely sheeted out, it was not me. I was wishing that I had a 3.7-perhaps that would have even been a handfull. I also wished that I had not left my little wave board in the garage. The forecast was for moderate wind, and when I pulled in the lot I was so marginal that I even considered rigging a 5.7 or 6.2. Fifteen minutes or so, when I was rigging my 5.3, the winds of hell broke loose on the river.

That cam doesn't show that much detail. Just be happy you weren't caught out there on your 6.2.

What is the web address for the windcam down there? Didn't know one existed.

I was at Access that afternoon on a 4'0, 85l . . . 6'5", 195 lb.

Until this season I had not used the 4.0 much, but have been powered up on it several afternoons at SI the past few weeks.

If it was not already flooding hard I probably would have sailed the sign. The ramps looked really good.
