to my west coast brethren, we've been keeping an eye via i-windsurf on the gorge scene. seems some sort of jump start for the wind is needed. a bunch of us here out east have come up with an idea to help you out. starting tomorrow, at approx 12 noon est. we will all fire up our shop vacs and aim them west. we're hoping this will create a massive low pressure condition across much of the central east coast that will subsequently cause a weather shift of epic propotions, rivalling that of the la nina and el nino effects. so get your gear ready. we'll be watching.

Tel me about it! Wish they could forecast this corridor stuff better; if it's not accurately forecast the day before, it's just too far for me to make it . . . the price I pay for living way out east.

I dont know what you guys are talking about. There have been plenty of great days in the central gorge. I know because Im stuck building my garage, dust flying, plywood whipping around, sun shining, and no windsurfing for poor me.

Whatever you're doing.... it's working great , thanks!! Woke up this AM to a west wind rushing in my window at about 4am... wind felt so good. By 8AM, I knew this was gonna be a really sweet day. Sailed very nicely powered 4.2 shore-to-shore here in my corridor... and since Uncle Bonneville decided to spill lots of water today.... swell was terrific too!!

iW's archives, local sailors' guts, and sailors' detailed logs say the good days are separated by far too many yawners. I got up way before dawn today to make up for missing yesterday, only to smell coming what I see on Hatchcam now at 10 AM: a packed parking lot with five sails on poorly organized swell.

Back to bed 'til the isobars appear again.

its a yawner because small equipment is boring as hell in light winds

get a fast slalom or freeride setup 110 to 150 depnding on weight and skill

alternately bigger freestyle

your clone who does this will sail total circles around you when the wind is up
