Hey, can someone recommend where I can order a custom wetsuit? I cannot find wetsuits that fit me, so I have decided to try and get one custom fit. I assume they don't have to be nearby so long as they get my measurements right. Any recommendations are appreciated... thanks!

Promotion in Hood River will. Best suits around, by the way.

Hi again - actually I already tried Promotion and I guess they don't make custom suits anymore. They said they only 'tailor' existing suits to make them fit better - in some cases. I am a 6'0" woman and very thin and leggy, and they closest they could fit my length was a voluminous size 14! Yikes! That's not wetsuit 'tailoring', that's a total overhaul! Right now I buy men's wetsuits to get reasonable leg length, but men tend to have longer wider torsos and shorter legs by comparison, so the fit for me is a bit odd to say the least... grumble, grumble. I'm hoping to find someone who will make a wetsuit totally customized to my size *help!*

Try O'Neill Psycho I or II, Size LT

I tried it and was sold on the spot - it is SO stretchy, it practically sticks to me.

It might not wrap you as tight as me Smile but could be a good option nevertheless.

Stay warm.

I just checked it out - the psycho looks like a great wetsuit. Thanks. Problem is I am 40lbs too thin for the women's 6'0" version, and about 60 lbs too thin for the men's version. Argh. If I go on an ice cream and milkshake diet for about the next six months maybe it'll fit, but then I'll get on my board and sink up to my eyeballs Wink

Here are some links that might be helpful.

I have spoken with Aleeda about duplicating a favorite suit I have. A bit gruff but quite knowlegable.

Heatwave in Santa Cruz has modified suits for me in the past, good work. Added zippers and shortened ankle length.

Barts has a good selection and might be able to recommend something
of the shelf. My tall, lanky son uses a JetPilot suit, designed for Jet Skiers.

If you have a custom suit made, remember that Windsurfing wetsuits are a bit different than other suits because (hopefully) we spend more time out of the water than in it. Wind chill is as important as water temp for us.

We also need more flexibility than others, even surfers, particularly in the elbows, shoulders, and knees. This can come from both materials and construction.

There are two places down here that offer customs, Boz & Surf N Sea:

I think they both specialize in more surf-oriented suits, but it's worth a try. I had a female friend that bought a custom Boz a couple of years ago & loved it & have heard great things from guys that have bought Surf N Seas.

If you are really interested in a custon suit, why not checkout Snugg Wetsuits in the UK.

A recent thread on UK site has nothing but rave reviews.

They will make you a fully custom suit and they are very durable. You can have it made anyway you want . The cost is comparable to a top of the line non custom O-Neil Suit.
