Are new sails so cheap that I shouldn't bother?
A little help here brothers and sisters! |

Try a guy in Downey (I forgot his name). He repaired my 2 sails last year and did an excellent job. Phone number is (714) 329-0772 |

John Fitzgerald, fomerly of Multisail has been doing stellar sail repair work for at least 15 years in So Cal. His phone number (714) 329-0772, he typically turns stuft around in about a week. He has probably saved a dozen sails for me personally that would have been dumpster bound otherwise. |

Try UK Sailmakers in Marina del Rey. They have done good repairs for me pretty reasonably. 310 822-1203...... 1731 Abbot Kinney Blvd.....

Sent a PM, but it never got sent, I guess.
If you're up for driving to Santa Barbara, William Paxson Sails and Canvas will do it. I've had a few windsurfing sails repaired there a couple years ago now. Panels replaced, sleeves restitched, batten pockets, etc. He's capable and reasonably priced. Phone should be (805) 962-0706. He does kites, too, I think.

Good luck! |

DUDES AND DUDE'TTES,
Thanks for coming to my rescue!!!
AND
Mitch, it's the top of my 6.6m Aerotech Charge - it's freying, and I don't want to be 1.5 mi. out and have to ditch it --- again.
"Sailors - always check the top/cap for wear - it's really difficult (impossible) to sail with the top blown out. I carry a knife and rope to tie the top if it happens again, but repairs while watching the sun setting in the capping, rolling, frothing, sea is zero fun!!!" |
