Winds, though moderate to light, were steady from the NW.

6 Skateboards? Are these boards with blades or wheels? Any just plain skaters?

Hey ice folks. If anyone knows someone with a FreeSkate in the garage gathering dust, please let me know. Last summer's activities didn't include building an ice rig as they should have.
Thanks for any help.

Very good sailing today. A moderately strong southwest wind made for some nice reaches across the lake. We had two iceboats out along with as many as seven freeskaters, a kite sailor briefly in the morning, two skate sails and many small groups of recreational skaters. A sunny start turned to dreary clouds. The ice began to soften around 3pm and most were leaving by then. I stayed until 4. The rain started soon after.

can anyone provide any insight on how to purchase or build one of these amazing contraptions? I've googled and googled but come up relatively empty handed. I am especially interested in trying to build one, but I have no idea how realistic that is. Thanks!
