Is the West UCSB sensor for real?
How did you manage to get so much data???
It strikes me as overwhelming, but excellent!!

There are 3 buoys in the Chesapeake bay that give near real-time data that are not included on this site. It would be great if you could include data from these on-water wind sensors.

The Google Maps mashup view is pretty sweet.

Just one request: The forecast only flags get in the way a bit. How about an additional customize option that allows you to select what types of sites you want to display?

A couple of comments about the Hudson River area:

http://www.iwindsurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=1766

(1) The forecast for Saugerties is labeled "Tivoli." If the location flag is in the correct place, the name should be changed to Saugerties.

(2) Would it be possible to get a forecast for North Germantown, NY?

Thanks for the new maps! Really nice work!

Current map is only showind two of four Hudson River sensors.....please size so Tappan Zee Light, Croton, Bannerman's, and Kingston appear on NY Southeast and on NY Hudson River. Thanks. It looks great with expanded coverage.

Looks like IWS volunteers Hardie Truesdale and Jim Tomasetti were successful in making Kingston, NY meter cellular today by going out to USCG Navigation Aid and doing the exchange. Thanks.

i like it!

Going to south Atlantic of France next week and was wondering what sort of wind they were having over there. These reports will determine whether I pack my wet suit and harness.

I don't have any feedback on the SF Bay views, since I have my "My IW" page set up the way I like it. A couple of forcasts that I relied on were spot-on

Thanxs

This is an issue with the old coverage so much as with the new.
When selecting a preference for units (i.e. knots), the numbers above the wind graph change to knots, but the y-axis and data points on the graph remain in MPH.

I presume iWindsurf is US-based, but in efforts to go global, why not ditch that outdated unit of measurement for something equally global. Given we are talking marine-based wind speed, knots seems to make sense to me. Just my opinion though.

On the old sytem, we could see several days early on the forecast. Now, it seems we can only see the forecast for the current day.
any tips on how we can say further?
thanks,
Sean

on SF south we need to see :

• Half Moon Bay Buoy
• San Francisco Buoy
• San Francisco Pilot Station Buoy

that tells if the wind is coming our way

basically the map needs to be just a little bit wider to cover these sites too

THanks

I have accidentally clicked on the beta link. Now my home page (myIW) is broken... It says it is not supported in the new beta. I click on switch to the old system, but next time I login, it is still showing me the new beta... and yes! my myIW tab is broken.
How do I get rid of this beta thing?

Thanks. Mad
