[quote="rowena"]Hi Dianne,
Asking men not to fight is like asking them not to breathe.
Hi Rowena,
Really? I haven't seen an actual fight at Crissy. Maybe because there is a lot of room and people don't really have to compete for parking or water space (most of the time).
I'm going out on a limb here, but I still believe masculinity has nothing to do with fighting or with guns. It has everything to do with confidence, maturity, consideration for others, and a nice butt. |

dianne,
you could have seen some male windsrfer/surfer aggression up at ft. point earier this week. i understand there were some puffed up chests, insults and challenges displayed. boys will be boys.
you're right, though. not much action amoungst windsurfers themselves. |

"JP is talking about cigars, but you'd think after the Clinton/Lewinsky thing, the appeal of sticking a cigar in your mouth would have fizzled. Maybe it's just me"
I happen to like flavored cigars
"We should be talking about more important things like how expensive beer is getting lately. Combined with the price of gas, those are the only economic indicators a windsurfer should be concerned with. Instead of the CPI, we'll call it the WPI (Windsurfer Price Index)."
Interestingly enough you can make your own beer, and bio-diesel is the next best thing to free fuel. If you have a diesel that is. |

JPBassking....The WPI is killing me. I used to think of windsurfing as a cheap version of skiing, after you buy the gear. Not anymore. A simple trip to Tomales Bay in my 8-banger, a couple of brewskis, and a bridge toll equals about 30 bux. 2 hrs of rippin for 30 bux, still worth it, but inflated , nonetheless.

As a good friend of mine used to say: "You can't put a price on fun".
OR...
How much would 2 hours with a shrink cost you?

Phallic? Most certainly!
Arousing? Not at all, unless you're a robot or freak!
JPBassking= freakazoid robot ?
(remember that song from the 80's by Midnight Star:
"Freakazoids, Robots, please report to the dance floor....umph.....umph-umph....umph-umph......) |

JP, I laughed so hard my stomach hurts. The pumping action is truly mesmerizing.
MKrasnoff...I knew you were packing. That's why you're not scared of anything out there! Mr. Whitey shows up, you're fully loaded.

Ok I was just called out by someone whose face I can't picture with their email ID (I know ,I know all of you, but jesus doesnt anyone have to work here, or at least use their computers for better things like porn?) Anywho, yes I rig her sail because she does it too damn slow, and often not right, and I'm a time Nazi who does not want to be out on the water watching my beloved struggle. If she has a bad time out there because of wrong sail size or poor rigging all the fun fringes of being married (food and sex- the order has flipped recently-) tend to dissipate, so yeah I am nipping any problems in the bud here, as I like to eat.
Plus after almost 30 years of fucking around with windsurfing crap I can rig two sails in the time most people take to decide which one of theirs to get out of the car. And for the record she does schlep her shit up and down the stairs, so no, I am not a pussy whipped sailor,just one who gets to do something incredibly fun with his wife. Face it, you guys go home and have to stifle that buzz from sailing because if they knew how much fun you were really having there would be blood. |

This is nothing new. Just why do you think that Cuban cigars were always touted as having been rolled on the thighs of Cuban women? Roollllllllanother one...Here I go again.

Yes, I used to do this fairly often. It's a good thing that I kept my brewing stuff. If you have to do all of the work yourself, it's very time consuming. If there are a few others to share, it's not so bad. I never brewed using a full mash, but rather a partial. This means that I used malt concentrate (John Bull, I believe the brand was.), along with boiling out my own extract from the malted barley, etc. Made some good batches in the past. I was just thinking that it might be time to blow the dust off my brewing stuff. Hmmm.....I might have gotten rid of all of my re-cappable bottles. The search may be on. |
