This is from a North photo shoot on Maui on Sunday. Who needs a boat or jetski to wakeboard or tow in? It was pretty amusing to watch.

Maui: A great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All this talk about who's a local vs. who's not, who's got attitude, who doesn't.....just makes me sick.

THE LAST COUPLE OF TIMES I WAS ON MAUI I FELT LIKE I WAS AT THE TIJUANA BORDER ON THE WAY BACK INTO THE U.S. WHERE THEY TRY TO SELL YOU SHIT LEFT AND RIGHT TO TAKE YOUR DOLLAR. SAME THING IN MAUI NOW. AS A VISITOR YOU ARE NOTHING BUT "CHICHING-CHICHING" TO THE LOCAL ECONOMY. ALOHA SPIRIT MY ASS.

Come-on guys... This is a 13 year old kid having fun... in Maui... where there is no wetsuit required, beautiful scenery, nice people, warm wind a high percentage of the time...

Good for Conner, he's a good kid, and a much better waterman than 99% of us!

How can you get negative about that??????

The point is, did you read the starboard forum ?
Nothing to do with the picture but rather a good mix of Maui politics : localism, tvr'ism, racism, etc...

my link was to top of page 8 of the *board forum where somebody complains about how they handled the North foto shoot.

Back to topic, looks like the kids were having fun on the water, I guess you have to be pretty light to get up on a surf board while being towed by a windsurfer (are we happy now?)

I saw Conner stand up to another pro more than twice his size on the subject of Conner's sister who the guy landed on during her heat at the Aloha Classic. He was speaking to the guys belly button. If you wonder if he is a real pro you might notice the Starboard line with his name on it. My wife has one - 47 liters and it rocks.
He and his hui are the future, my brother. Naish and the rest of us are soon only of historical interest
