Carl - Appreciate the post and point taken, you are absolutely right, makes perfect sense.
It is a good reason to support the local shop and the money of course goes back to support the local community.
Good info and opinions, thanks guys.
FYI - One of the fisherman caught a 40 lb. sting ray near Embassy yesterday, yikes, that is a pretty damn big! |

just an fyi...I double checked and the museum pass money does not go to the park. The museum does not pay any rent to Coyote Park or San Mateo County (they have free rent). Your membership pass to the museum benefits the museum only.
Another reason to support the park and buy the park pass. The full annual park pass for $60 gets you entry into all San Mateo County Parks which are listed here:

This is exactly why the museum pass is and should be less. With the museum pass you ONLY get access to Coyote Point. The San Mateo Park Pass gets you into all county parks. It should be more expensive. If one doesn't use the rest of the parks in the county there is no reason to pay for something you won't need plus it benefits the museum which is good cause for the kids. BTW, Ranger Bradley was harrassing some sailors about the museum pass a year ago or so and when someone complained the county appoligized and repremanded her. |
