anyone have experience with these?
I windsurf with a waist harness and Kite with a seat, looking for flotation more that protection...(at this time)
Last year someone shared that one of above had good float and didnt get in the way of waist harness...
Any experiences you can share? seen some writing on DAkine's however they have harness built in ? pro or con with that?
thanks,
Max. |

I've just switched from the old ProMotion floatation vest to the new "kite" version. I really like the new one - it fits so well you forget you have it on. The old one would ride up, but the new one doesn't. Because the new one fits under the waist harness it is really locked into place. A side benefit is that the extra friction seems to help keep the waist harness from riding up too.
The only downsides of the new vest are:
- not as much flotation
- no front zipper pocket (has one in back)
Overall, I really like the new one.

DaKine's Impact vest is readily available with or without the harness. I like my non-harness Impact better than any of the other 15-10 vests I have owned and/or tried. It provides the best rib/kidney/liver protection, does not ride up, gives just enough float, and clears my XTSeat harness/bar well.

Hey Isobars, does the Dakine provide for using the waist harness over it ?
Or for waist u have to use it as such?
