is everyone getting ready? stretching? packing the duct tape? Taking advil preemptively? it was hard to sleep with how windy it was last night...
Here's a question - Would you prefer to be overpowered on a modern 4.0, or well-powered on an old 3.5? Debating whether to bring a Sailworks Cam1 (running RAF) from like 1993, or just hang on for dear life onto my 2006 4.2. I guess we'll have to see how the wind actually pans out.
have fun out there today - be safe |

I was on a Neil Pryde NR 3.6 on a 70L Naish 8"4" circa 2003 at Crissy yesterday and it was perfect. I expect to get blown off the water today as its the smallest stuff i got. So far there have been at least 3 days this year on par with these epic conditions. The 4.2 might be a bit much if things pan out the way the forecaster has laid it out... |

well i just got a 6.6 in the mail, assuming it will not get any use today. maybe i'll get to sail my 4.5 simmer from 04. hoping berkeley doesn't blow me off again like it did at 5pm yesterday, total shut off from 26 down to 10. also hoping my new starboard carve 101 isnt too big. i have an old naish 8'5", not sure the liters. it must be high 80's. |
