Dawn patrol session before work at Sherman Island this morning.
4.7, 87L board. Ebb, ramps, good fun!
Used the GoPro for the first time too. Great footage.

Super powered at 6pm at Sherman on 4.5 and 78L. Ramps were slightly disappointing given the 27 readings at M10...

Got stung 3 times by bees while rigging/unrigging just outside the park entrance. What's up with that? There weren't even any flowers, just dirt and scroungy grass...

3rd Ave channel offered up very pleasant 5.8m sailing yesterday evening, Wednesday Aug 15. The sensor went down at about 4pm last reporting 18mph. I was on the water from 5-6:30 pm, and found a very steady pulling 20mph. There were a couple of hiccups, otherwise it was that very constant thermal wind. I enjoyed shorty suit weather and a fully featured water park as the ebb was still running. Only a small handful out, I guess everybody went to the Delta or did not sail, oh well less fin chop on the water for me. We're used to powered 5.0 conditions at 3rd, but I find this lighter wind version to be much easier on a creaky body and still a huge amount of fun. We're so spoiled- what would be considered an epic day at many places- barely registers at our venue.

Started yesterday around 2:30PM at Berkeley Marina on a 5.8, 100l, barely planed until I got to gap in pier, then 2hr super powered session between pier and about a mile or two out from Pt. Isabel (near X-buoy). Saw a kiteboarding lesson with teacher on a jet ski way out there.

Safer out there. Less things to be dragged into.

Isabel was fickle today, but if you got on her good side (outside) she delivered from 1:30 to 3:30

While Crissy is in vacation Coyote and Stick keep delivering.
Thu 16th Stick 4.7 + 85L 2pm to 6 pm (a bit erratic due to the close fog line), than still fine with a larger sail. Coyote was steadier and stronger all afternoon.

Day after (17) perfect day at Coyote with 4.7 + 75L RRD.

18th at Stick with 5.3 and 4.7.

19th at Coyote 5.3 very powered up.

20th at Coyote 5.3 VERY powered up (I need a 5.0)

21st day of rest

22nd at Coyote, had to slog to the second buy (hikes!) but than had a great hour and a half on a 5.3 + 85L

Light wind point isabel session, narrow wind alley off the south tip of brooks, fun out there, efficient broad reach home . Have a good weekend.
