Question
I mostly sail the East Bay (Berkeley/Pt. Isabel). I have found the automatic forecasts on the dynamic view of the wind speed pages uncannily accurate. (The gray line.) It is very strange for a windsurfer/kiter/sailor to comment on the accuracy of forecasts (we usually complain.) It is not always correct, of course, but it seems to get it more or less correct more than the human (sorry Mike, you do a great job) or NWS.

My question is, where does this forecast come from. How is it it generated?
