What do you think of this fin for Cape Cod? http://www.foxwatersports.com/store.html
Actually, I'm thinking about cutting off the tip of one of my duplicate weeders.

Amazing. One hundred reads and no replies. I shot off an e-mail to the guys who are selling the fin, but haven't seen the response yet.

Anyway, big guy, I'll reply just to make you feel appreciated.

I've sailed on that fin a fair bit at canadian hole, it works really well. That being said I almost always use the WarDog FreeWeed. I like the way it loosens up and makes manuvers very easy. In fact I sail them in fresh water with no weeds more often than not.

Sorry, I thought I had put up the detail page. Actually, I was thinking about just cutting off the tip of one of my big weeders (the one I use with 8.0 to 9.6 sails). I seldom use my upright fins as they all have taken it on the chin in the shallows at the tip, even the 34 cm. Weeders will ride up over sand bars, but they still get crunched on rocks. The big G-10 weed fin is quite heavy, too, and cutting it back would also reduce the weight.

Brucie, instead of circumcising your fin, why not just sand it? That seems to have worked for you in the past.
