Hey all you kiters let's take over the Bingen site! It's almost unused now, no admision charge, not much gas to get there, has a huge grassy field where we can all streach out our lines, an easy launch and no wining windsurfers! It's perfect for spectators and always has wind! Let's do it! This is the solution to the overcrowding at the spit! |

Actually, this is a very sketchy launch and should only be attempted by strong intermediate to advanced kiters with above average launch/landing and self rescue skills.
I would also recommend waiting until the river levels get back down to normal before anyone even attempts launching at this site for 2008. High water=no beach at all.
Also, keep an eye out for the drift nets that the Native Americans lay out off the point during fishing season.
Thanks

Great idea, Dean!!! Best idea ever! But there is only one problem: the kiters will not be "seen" like they are at the spit. Don't you know that kiting is all about being a "rock star"?
